~ReFleCtiOn~

When I first came to this class I thought that it would be sort of a struggle compared to all the other English classes I have taken in here. In the end it was not what it turned out to be; things were like usual. The most challenging thing that we did do was that argument. I did not know I could write that much. I am looking forward to reading and writing memoirs because I have read some and I really enjoyed it.
The year is getting closer and closer to graduation. I feel prepared to graduate, but scared to move on. I am glad I took this class because it is helpful.

What Am I?

I am the world's largest mammal.
I live in Africa.

My legs are about six feet,
and my tongue is twenty one inches.

I can not swim,
and I only sleep four and half hours of sleep.

I have a spotted coat.
I like to eat from trees.

I like to walk.
I like to gallop.

I can kill an animal with a kick.
But ticks can feed on me.

~Gratitude~

I am thankful for my mom,
and that she can be calm.
I am thankful for my boyfriend,
because he's always there for me in the end.
I am thankful for my small pup,
he can just make anyone crack up.
I am thankful for my sisters,
even though when they come around its like a twister.
I am thankful for my dad,
even when he is mad.
I am thankful for my nephew,
sometimes he has a funny hairdo.
I am thankful for the rest of my family,
because either way they have made me happy.

The mysterious thing!

I sit at the window watching it freeze from the snow outside. It is such a sad cold day. What is that? A thump on the roof. I run to my room grab my jacket and head for outside. I walk all the way around the house and see nothing. Back inside as I open the door I see something run by. I think nothing of it and sit back at the window. Suddenly I scream. Something touched my shoulder. As I turn around you would never expect what I see next. A cat! What a cat you say? Yes a cat. The same cat on Cat in the Hat. Maybe it is his brother or sister even, it is wearing a pink bow. Oh man what trouble I am in now. I know this cat is trouble from the movie I seen. I stand in silence wonder what is on that cat's mind. Cat says nothing for such a long amount of time. Then all of a sudden he walks out the door. The first thing I do is lock the door; now I am safe. I go into my room and hide under the blankets. Next thing I know the blankets get pulled off! I scream and Cat is standing there laughing so hard he could pass out. I ask what he is laughing at. Cat just walks out of my room. As I am following him to the kitchen I see such a mess- food is scattered everywhere, all the drawers are pulled out, and the living room is much worse I can not even explain. I sit on the floor so upset Cat laughs and just says "Haven't you seen my movie I cleaned up their house perfectly." I knew everything would be fixed but I just did not like the fact that he was here. I sit Cat down and ask him questions like why he is here? Why did it have to be me? Cat patted my head and said there is a perfect explanation why I am here. First of all he was here to take me to a better place because something bad was going to happen but he could not tell me what. Also he added that I will return when it is safe and everything will seem normal when I get back. Man did I think this cat was crazy. I would never just up and leave and go with some cat I just met to a safe place. So more questions arose for this cat. How do I know he is not lying? Why is he only taking me? That is when he told me that there will be other people there just not a lot. Certain people are taken there when something very dramitic is going to happen to them. Then he said it is up to me, but I will not like the results if I do not go. So I did decide to go, and even though I went the results still weren't great...

Exciting!

As I wait in line for the most thrilling ride in the park,

 I stand their jittery because I cannot see anything in the dark.

I move closer to the front of the line,

All I feel is the tingling in my spine.

The ride now awaits me so I hope in,

We start up the track and all I see are spins.

We approach the top and everyone screams,

At this moment I wish it was just all a dream.

Down we go on the drop,

My stomach feels like I just done a belly flop.

As we’re going through the spins and turns of the ride,

All my worries are set aside.

Just before the end it snaps a pic,

It comes to an end and we all feel sick.

We are all laughing at the looks on our face,

By now we all need a breathing place.

The day is up we all had fun,

Time to go home because there is no more sun.

The Personality Results of Me

I have taken Myers-Briggs personality test. The explanation of the test was a counselor. It said I would like to work well with others, but prefer to work with people that I am close to. Also I would need quiet or alone time to recharge, and we have personalities that sometimes confuse even ourselves.
Personality types to me can help someone realize who they are. Even if they do not think that of themselves it might be a choice in life latter. Certain test might not be the greatest, but the more you take the better understanding of yourself you will have. From what I have read about my test results, I do not think I could interact easily with a group of strangers. I would rather talk to people I am close to and would listen to me. The alone time I would not want much because I like to spend time with people I am close to. Friends have came to me before about their problems and have listened to my advice, but they see me more as a good listener.
I would not really disagree or agree with being a counselor. I like to listen to others and try to help them. I, however, could not do it on a daily basis. I also would not like to be stuck in a room for long just listening to people. Maybe I will help others just as friends would, but not as a job.

Jazmyne Martinez is my name. I live with my mom, Sheri Yellowhawk and step brother Len. I also have two older sisters named Heather and Shalimar. I am involved in basketball yearly and have been since I was very young. Also I enjoy playing softball. In the future I plan to attend college, but at first maybe stick around and do online school at first. Things that I would write about in my blogs are things everyone and myself would enjoy in life.
